I find it very interesting to think about who created humans in each myth, especially in the Greek creation myth. Depending on what you think of Prometheus, whether he is a god, titan, etc. He is the one to create humans and not Zeus or any other Olympian. This can be compared with Genesis where God creates humans and their importance to him is very clear. Or with the Norse myth where Bor’s sons create humans from trees.
I wonder if this goes back to how humans view themselves in the world. The Norse have a closer connection with the earth then the Christians, but the Christians view themselves as special and having a close relationship with God. And the Greek they aren’t really there for any special reason. It seems that the context of the creation and the creator can give insights into the purpose of humans and how they view their place in the world.
